Great coffee, amazing food, and fantastic service! This cozy little coffee shop is our favorite cafe in the Morganton area and holds a special place in our hearts. We had our rehearsal dinner in the upstairs event space in September of 2023, and it’s been our go-to spot ever since!

Great little coffee place. The prices are a little high but worth it. The food is great but they tend to be out of a lot of the options which stinks. When they do have everything in stock the food is amazing! We typically stop by to see if they are open or have certain stuff ahead of time though.

Ordered a Burke Turkey Jack no mushrooms. It was missing some other things but it still tasted amazing. Had plain chips and an IBC Root Beer in a glass bottle!!! Great atmosphere and cozy. Come try the food and grab a drink!!!

We had the cranberry turkey salad, Rueben, iced coffee and blackberry scone. Everything was delicious, and came out in a timely manner. The space was beautiful and clean. We liked that we were able to sit outside.

Amazing! A quiet, quaint, cozy little coffee shop and breakfast food place in the heart of Downtown Morganton was perfect for my pre-mural painting needs. It’s below freezing today and this place has given me all the fuzzy feels! Great food! Great coffee! Friendly and fast service. And even my Boo made it out to give them two thumbs way up! I got the everything bagel with ham egg and cheese!

Visited Grind Cafe for a quick bite and coffee, I’m always venture out of my comfort zone and decided to try the Tinga Tacos. I need to mention that Tacos are in my DNA, the flavor was Ok but the biggest mistake was to serve the tortilla cold and the ingredients hot, a big no-no for tacos. The Turkey sandwich was better, service needs improvement as well, prices are high for the food and service provided.

My husband and I stopped by here for lunch while we were in town. My husband wanted a mimosa, which they advertised on the menu by the door. Unfortunately, they were out of the liquer to make it, so he settled for a glass of wine. We both ordered subs and chips. We didn't have to wait too long for our food. It was warm and very delicious. I really liked the bread. It was a bit noisy and echo-ey, so we had some trouble hearing each other. It was a nice spot to stop for a quick sit-down lunch.

Outstanding small town coffee shop with amazing quality coffee and some of the best gravy biscuits in the Southeast! Love the ownership and atmosphere. Highly recommend the Cafe Au Lait!! Can't wait for more live music!!! Great outside seating as well and clean restrooms. Best coffee house in Burke County! Love the White Chocolate Macadamia Latte!!
